Terms and Conditions

Worldwide Accommodation Rentals (WAR) act as letting agents for the owners of the property.

The rental contract is between the hirer and the owners of the property for which the booking is made and incorporates the conditions set out below.

Booking Form

W.A.R. cannot accept any bookings for occupation of the Property unless they are set out in the booking form provided by W.A.R. and unless all details required in that form have been completed and all persons intending to occupy the Property must be named in the booking form.

Authority to Sign

The person who signs the booking form certifies that he or she is authorised to agree to the booking conditions on behalf of all the persons included on the booking form including those substituted or added at a later date.

This signatory must be a member of the party occupying the property and must be over 21 years of age (unless previously agreed in writing by the agents).

Payment

Bookings are to be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total rental costs and the balance is to be paid 30 days prior to arrival. In certain circumstances, a refundable security bond may be required upon arrival at the property, please enquire. If required, the security bond may be paid in cash or can be secured on your credit card.

Cancellation of Hotel/Motel/Apartment Bookings

If the hirer wishes to cancel the booking they should notify W.A.R. immediately and confirm the same in writing. Upon receipt of a cancellation, W.A.R. will refund any monies paid except for the 50% deposit, unless the cancellation is made within 48 hours of the arrival date and then no refund is payable.

Cancellation of privately-owned Houses and Apartments

If the hirer wishes to cancel the booking they should notify W.A.R. immediately and confirm the same in writing. If the booking is cancelled in writing more than six weeks from the commencement date of your arrival, you will be released from the liability for the balance of hire.

If the cancellation is less than six weeks prior to your date of arrival, we will make every endeavour to obtain a replacement letting and if we are successful in finding guests to take your place, you will be released from the liability for the full balance of hire. If we are unable to find guests to take your place no refund is payable and you are liable for payment of the balance of hire.

In the event of the property not being available due to unforeseen circumstances WAR will notify the hirer as soon as possible, offer a full refund or try to find other acceptable accommodation. WAR/Owners liability is limited to the monies received for the booking.

The Hirer’s Obligations when renting privately-owned Houses and Apartments

The hirer agrees to each of the following:

To pay for any breakages, losses or damage to the property before departure.

To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition, particular attention being given to the kitchen and barbeque ensuring all equipment and utensils are left clean and tidy. Excess cleaning of the property will incur an extra charge.

Permit the Owners/Agents reasonable access to the property.

Not to sublet or share the property except with persons nominated on the booking form or as previously agreed in writing with the agents.

The maximum number of persons allowed to stay at the property is clearly stated and must not be exceeded. W.A.R./Owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without

refund in case of any breach of these conditions or in cases where in their reasonable opinion the behaviour of the customer is unacceptable.

Not to remove any of the owner’s contents, fixtures or fittings;

Not to tamper with any locks, access devices, plant fixtures, fittings or effects, including any plumbing or electrical fittings or appliances.

Pets

No pets are allowed onto the Property except where specifically approved in writing by the owner or W.A.R. on behalf of the owner, prior to the commencement of the letting.

Arrival and Departure

Properties are only available after 2 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure unless prior arrangements have been made with the agents and confirmed in writing.

Neither the Agents nor Owners accept any liability for any loss or damage to the hirer’s possessions nor take any liability for happenings outside their control.

The use of amenities, where offered, such as swimming pools, boats, cots etc is entirely at the users risk and W.A.R./Owners will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to the customer’s belongings, personal injury or loss of life.

Terms and conditions as between Owners and Worldwide Accommodation Rentals (W.A.R.)

W.A.R. act only as agents: All letting contracts are between Owner and Hirer on the basis of the Booking Form plus Terms and Conditions.

INDEMNITY

The hirer will indemnify W.A.R. and the owner against any breach by the hirer of the hirer’s obligations under these Property booking conditions.
